Still life painting is important to you as an artist. It will help you learn how to see light, shadow, edges, color and proportions - and you have more time to observe these things, than is true in landscape painting where the sun and clouds move. Also, you have the creative freedom to arrange your subject however you like.

This four-hour, eight week online midday class will give you an in-depth painting and learning experience. For spring semester, we will learn how to paint a casual scattering of flowers, fruit and other elements on the top of a table. This is a loose, unstructured way to paint; it’s all about color and brushwork.

Starting date is April 4 and the class continues until May 23. Class begins at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:45) and ends at 2:00 pm with a half hour lunch break. Cost is $300 for the eight weeks.
